7 Affordable Small Cars
By Matthew Keegan

Are you shopping for a small car? If so, there a number of models available to you for under $15,000. Seven are featured here; ten cars if you consider three alternate models. Manufacturer incentives have made this a great time to purchase a new car; shop, compare, and save!
Chevrolet Cobalt – With the MSRP of $14,410 this new Chevrolet model is one of the lowest priced cars manufactured in the U.S. Factor in GM employee pricing and the car can be had for less than $13,000. Not bad when you consider that few new car models are priced so low. Alternatively, GM still markets the Chevrolet Cavalier an outdated, dull, and uninspiring model. Still, at prices that begin around $10,500 the Cavalier just may pique your interest.
Ford Focus – Retailing at $15,590 the Focus is also available at a lower price when incentives kick in. In addition, eligible buyers will find nice low financing rates through Ford Credit.
Honda Civic Coupe – A quality leader in this segment is the Civic, the long time entry level Honda offering. With the MSRP starting at $14,175 the car is certain to attract the notice of the value conscious brigade.
Hyundai Accent – Yes, there still is a car marketed for under ten grand. With a price tag of $9999 the Hyundai Accent takes the prize as being the lowest priced new car for sale in
Kia
Saturn
With incentives figured in prices are certainly lower than they have been in some time. However, if you want a larger car and you do not want to pay the big rates consider a good one or two year old used car. Prices for used cars have been dropping because of the increasing number of trade ins flooding dealer lots due to manufacturer incentives.
In all, now is a very good time to purchase a car; shop around and you just may save yourself several thousands of dollars off of the sticker price.
